Bike Week
March 3 - 12, 2006
We need to use this event to unveil Bob Hichborn's breezy Pulse and build this event into something to rival the Labor Day Indiana event.
Ralph Wolf and I would like to get started now on the plans.
For starters, who can attend? I am going to suggest Thursday March 9th through Sunday March 12th. _________________ Pulsing with excitement,

Nelson,
I'm in and will hopefully have more to offer than the Breezy by that time. Will see how things go with the "big move". _________________ "Everyday you wake up with a Pulse,

I may be able to attend. My daughter's birthday is March the 4th. And she lives in Fl. Ron |

Let's get a number---rough that it may be---of how many 'might' attend (with no obligation/deposit) and I will check on the Motel Bob H found last time...I have all the contact info....and my main job will be to see if we can get some time on the Daytona Speedway now that the construction is done...I still have visions of a Rat Pack of Pulses making a lap with photo opportunity and possible news--not to mention the international coverage/photos....aaaarrrrgggghhhh.....here we go again....
If we can get enough commited (or commitable) owners who would have their Pulse I will work on us having a roped off area at the Speedway for us to display our vehicles 1 or 2 of the daze (days)...
I am going to have to start working on my beast again in earnest...
Damn you Nelson!!!---That is the LAST time I answer one of your eMails...LOL

OK, Doctor, Go ahead and fix it. Enough already. I seem to recall climbing around UNDER your car replacing wheels and other things, and all you've got left to do is major engine work, body repair, and a few other minor things like that.
Mine is running again. I cannot seem to blow that Yam 400 no matter what I do. I drove it 20 miles, one cylinder, 75 mph, expected an explosion, nothing happened. Go figure.
Anyway, let's how those Yankees how to have a real party. _________________ Pulsing with excitement,

Its great to see the growing interest in these cars. As luck would have it I migrate from Michigan to Florida each winter and will be within an hour of Daytona in March.

and if you are planning to come alone or with others let us know how many and who they be........unless you can't put it on the 'net......... _________________ Life Begins With A PULSE!!! |

Good going to everyone, but I must explain myself... I'm sort of a subdued person. For example; I've operated all aspects of a 70 ton turbine powered main battle tank. I've driven such on the autobahn and through a forest. Shoot, move and communicate. That was my Yeee-haa!
Despite having been to (West) Germany twice, I was most comfortable hanging around in the barracks. Now, in civilian life, its a wonder if I go any where further than a one-hour drive once a month. Operating the autocycle (#308) is seen more as a task, not a pleasure. I'm just tickled to have it, though, like some of my other eclectic stuff. _________________ Tammy and Elden have Pulse #308 from 1988.Built in Butcher's Barn and presently sets inoperative in their garage. Oh come on, get out the tool box and see what you can do.
Or just come to Florida in March and spend some time with us. _________________ Pulsing with excitement,

Believe it or not...I found my list of contacts I had made at the Daytona Speedway for last year...I have not decided if I should call before or after Biketoberfest but I am leaning to 'after.' Any suggestions ??
My thought is that they are up to their eyeballs in alligators with this coming up in Oct. (Biketoberfest) and that after this event they will have more time to give me attention...I also plan to contact the Motel after
10/30/05 for the same reason...Keep the flame burning...THIS WILL HAPPEN.....Oh, and Nelson....do NOT sell your tow bar just yet...It may be the only way I get there....LOL

I'll hold on to the tow bar. _________________ Pulsing with excitement,

OK people I have spoken with Holly Hyatt at Daytona USA about us going to Daytona March 9-12, getting a display area to show the public our beasts. I have also asked for a cost for our group to go to Daytona USA...
I have suggested to her that we would like a roped off display area for our machines for about 6 hrs on the 10th or the 11th, will develop a handout on the history of these vehicles and how to view our forum..I have also said that any TV/Newspaper coverage would mention the genorisity of Datona USA. Finally I also proposed that we be given a chance to do a 'lap' around the famous NASCAR course in our machines....BUT....
She wants to now how many machines and how many owners and guests would be coming...I do not expect a perfect headcount this far out...but last year I suggested to them that 6 would show up---the track was under construction---and we basically just hung out together...The four of us, one with parts, one who had just bought a machine that could not run yet, mine that ran like a turd, and Nelson's beauty queen...We still had fun but this may shape up to be a whole different experience...
I also need this number to try to secure us reservations at the motel we used last year asap...

I don't touch tera firma till Dec. 16 and my Pulse needs Santa's magic
to be ready by March. Still, I am going to try to be present even if I
have to trailer my Pulse. _________________ Florida Panhandle |
