The subject is on the FAR left. The last post date is the FAR right.
Since it is a fixed width field and fairly small, how about putting the date of the last post first followed immediately by the subject? That way I can look at when the last post was made and see if anyone has posted since I last checked in on the topics of interest. Right now we sort on the date but then the date is shown at far right and I have trouble correlating the date with each subject. I have noticed that boards that keep subject and date close together with date leading tend to be a lot more active.
