Sept 15 2012. I checked out Pulse #317 today. I am reporting to say that it has been sitting outside since March according to Bill and would not start or turn over. Bill did say he stores it in the inside in the winter. It had a battery charger on it and I did not check the terminals to see if they were corroded or the connections to the starter to see if they were loose. The linkage needs to be adjusted and was stuck in 1st gear. I tried to see if I could get it to neutral but did not have any luck or tools at the time. I Did not get it started. It has a honda 1100 goldwing motor that Bill said was replaced 1 year ago. Bill has owned this Pulse for 5 years. The rotors have some surface rust on them from sitting. It needs paint as the paint has spider cracks all over the entire pulse. There is an add on small tail that is coming off . It was made of wood and the silver paint has delaminated off of it . The windshield is glass and cracked on the left side. The interior is decent shape original and very usable. It has reverse from the factory, did not get to try it out. IT has a power sliding canopy that works. The canopy is good shape but has sticker residue on several spots. Flip up head light works. The dash has a digital read out but did not come on, not sure if it was working. Over all not hearing it run and knowing if there are any other issues. I was a little disappointed in the condition. Seeing pictures and seeing this pulse in person is very deceiving. I believe with a paint job and some mechanical work it would make a road worthy Pulse again. Just my observations to any one long distance who might be looking at it to purchase.

Thanks Doug for checking out this Pulse. Most people live too far away to examine a Pulse that is for sale. So it is great to have someone close to carefully look at a vehicle and report it's condition to the group. |
