I was browsing through a military surplus vehicle site and found that someone was selling a couple of canopies made for F-14 jets.
No, I'm not implying that such canopies are compatible with our vehicles. Yet there may be individuals with intent on having a piece of authentic jet hardware on their kit vehicles.
I'm going to give the address and one has to keep in mind that you will have to scroll down through mind numbing pictures of trucks and surplus before reaching the piece about the canopies.

If I were to try and adapt a jet canopy, I'd try the same kind used in the BD5 series.

The reason they have that high vertical lift is because the canopy cannot slide back (at least with that air scoop on the top).
Also wonder if that windscreen could be adapted, too... |
