Yes, it can be built from scratch, if you have the ability. The original plans would be useless, as there are few detailed drawings, etc.
Once you build the autocycle, then the real fun begins as you try to get your state to allow you to drive it on the road. And just try to get insurance. Wouldn't you be disappointed afer all that work?
You would be better off buying a junker pulse.... with the original title. Then after repairs/modifications you can still get insurance, etc.

I guess I'll be finding that out in a few months here in Florida. The Goldwing donor bike has the VIN number on the steering "throat", which is normally cut off and discarded. I'm going to have to make a VIN panel out of it and reattached it somewhere visible.
Since, it will have the title from the Goldwing in my name, I'm hoping there's no issues. Hey, it's still a motorcycle, it just looks alittle different. We don't have any inspections here in Fl, so they rarely even look at the vehicles. The insurance company is more apt to want to take a peek then the FL DMV. |
