Wow. The seller of Pulse 246 says that he believe that his is the best and most original Pulse in existence today. From what I see, I'd have to agree. Very clean. |

Thanks, Steve. Apprecite the speed wit which you post this stuff!
I am bidding on this, it is right in my back yard. Would be great to have both a Litestar AND a Pulse, paint them with a positive/negative effect, flaming etc. _________________ Pulsing with excitement,

Great find Steve! Yikes! Nice price! I hope I can get that much for #77 when it's done! (ha, ha) |

I have been following both of these last two sales. The first one has a Goldwing motor and sold for $10,000. The second one just sold today for $3450. It has the 400cc motor but didnt tell what number it was.
I was thinking about buying except it was in Texas. I guess I will keep searching for one closer. |

The one for $10,000 looked (from the pictures) that it was in nice condition. The other unit that went for $3450 could be a great deal or a real money pit. When I bought #77 at $3200 I thought I had gotten a deal, but after totally dis-assembling and having to do alot of new fabrication, let me tell you from experience, it can get into lots of time and $$$. #77 will be a great machine when it's completed, but it didn't come cheap! If you're a "wax and drive" type, pay the bucks to get a nice clean unit, if you're good with a wrench, figure out how much time and money you want to invest. I'll let you know if the effort is worth it when I get mine on the road and start "flying" to work! |

Hello Bob, I am also a Bob.
I was looking real hard at the pics of the one from Texas. As it had the 400 air cooled motor and was so far away, I had to rely on the photos. It looked as if it had been a bit neglected. I have restored many cars but didn't want to have to get that involved in one of these at first. I knwo when i actually get one, I will be doing my own little customizations though.
The one in LA looked real good but I dont have that kind of money right now. He said it needed motor work which is fine with me. I was actually thinking about finding one in that condition and putting in a kawasaki 1200 motor.
I would love to have the one that Don Garlits used to own. Him being one of my long time heros, that would be awesome! Ah well, my search continues. I have also been looking at these:
but at $42,000 a copy, I think it will stay way out of my range. I need a rich wife so I can afford all the toys I want. |

The one that used to be in the Don Garlits museum is now owned by Larry in Jacksonville, Fl. He'll be at Biketoberfest next week, I hope. That Pulse is in great shape and he did have it for sale last year.
As for the T-Rex picture you posted (BTW, now everyone is going to want to know how you did that, so you might as well type up a tutorial now). Those are built in south Florida and very well engineered, hence the $40,000 + price tag. I'm hoping to see a few in Daytona during Biketoberfest. |

That T-rex I posted the pic of is actually back up on Ebay with a buy it now price of $33k. I have ridden in a couple and they are very fun! I know the largest distributor is in Florida, but I thought the manufacturing was still in NY and Canada.
To Larry from Jacksonville...
If you do decide to sell the Pulse from Don Garlits museum, give me a heads up. Dont know that I could afford it, but would really love the chance to know. |
