Now that I've got 2 completed "standard" Pulse relica frames built, I'm beginning the design on a single seat version. The goal will be to make a vehicle that is lighter, shorter, and an improved turning radius. This one may also be an Electric Pulse.
I've mocked up a concept showing the comparison between the standard and mini Pulse, using an image from the autocycles web site. I'd like to remove about 6 inches to a foot off the hose and approx. 2 feet of the passenger area. Still not sure if it's short enough.
One thing that's apparent, is that those outrigger wheels will definitely have to swivel. With the reduced length and increased turning, they will "drag" much more than they do now.
The frame modifications for the "shrink" will be pretty easy. The removal of the passenger section of the body should also go smoothly, since that section of the Pulse is rather uniform in shape. The nose mods will be a bit more involved, but nothing that can't be tackled with enough foam, fiberglass and Bondo.
Does this MINI PULSE look too stubby? I'd prefer to not mess with the height and open up that "can of worms".

Hmmmm.... not sure why images won't post? It might be a webshots thing. _________________ "Everyday you wake up with a Pulse,
