I want to thank everyone for there ideals on repairing the gas tank on the Pulse. I ended up using muratic acid and mixing it two parts water one part acid. It took two days soaking but it came out like new inside. I could not beleve my eyes. I then coated the inside with Red Coat that i bought a the auto parts store. It puts a hard plastic lining in the tank to stop any old or new rust from forming. Hope to have the engin running tonight. Lots of work ahead still. |

I did not see how you like the result...but I am going the same route---except I am letting a radiator shop outside Cocoa, Fl do the dirty deed for me...costlier but since I live on a boat my options are limited...It will cost about $130.00 for 3 days boiling and the red coat process...Boy, I hope it works...my tank is pretty rusty...the shop is Inmon Radiator on Merritt Island one block north of Route 520 on N. Tropical Trail...

Just did mine the same way. Works great. Lasts long time. Just be sure to let the red stuff dry for a day or two before you put fuel into the tank. _________________ -Dave Bauer
