The imagery of my house on this website is at least 7 years old. Better imagery can be seen at maps.google.com
FYI: Some new things are coming. The goverment is teaming up with industry to produce some even better imagery and mapping of the entire globe. Watch for more info on this in the future.

kewl, site thanks, I looked for my place which is only two yrs old and I found it, that is the foundation, so it must be recent. the detail is great.
I also checked another view and looked agian zooming in, same shot different angle with me and my bald spot in all its glory standing in the middle of my round concrete slab (geodesic dome)... cant wait for an update!
thanks agian for the link..

Steve,
Glad I could be of service. Well, I guess now you know what you look like from outer space.

I started using Google's latest mapping system last summer.
http://earth.google.com/
It's similar to maps.google , but it also maps 3D objects like buildings in cities, etc and lets you change the viewing angle, similar to "flying" over the mapped terrain like in a flight sim. It's still in kind of a "beta" form, but it's very impressive. The mapping resolutions are 1 ft in some areas, which is not as accurate as some of the "spy" satelite imagery I used when developing flight training systems for the US defense industry, but considering those were multi-million dollar systems and this is FREE, you can't beat it!
Let's see who will be the first to find a Pulse in someone's driveway.

Hey, as long as we are on the subject of maps...
Check out http://moon.google.com/
This is google's companion website for maps of the moon. You can see all of the lunar landing sites and zoom right in to see the composition of the moon.
