I am looking for help or suggestions for putting in more sound insulation for my pulse. There seems to be a lot of engine noise coming from behind and under the rear seat . Has anyone tried to improve or reduce the noise level? Thanks, Kooman |

Hi! Dave. Don Muddiman and I used the insulation that is used for insulating automobile hoods. It's silver foil on one side and fiber mat on the other and available at any car parts place. Don and I used it between the rear seat bulkhead and the engine compartment and over the top of the motor. Don also applied it to the sides of the body in the passenger compartment. Some of the noise comes from the body panels drumming as you go down the road. Don's Pulse #199 was quieter than my #61 because he insulated everything he could, where I was more concerned with just the engine noise. Use a spray on contact cement to stick the insulation in place. I think you can see pictures of what Don did for insulation on his page. |
