I just talked to a local cycle shop about repairing my Pulse. He mentioned he has worked on them before, and has a customer that owns two of them.

I got his name and there isn't a match on the VIN registry. I left my name and phone number for this owner to call me.

How does that saying go?
The only things found in Texas are, Steers and Armadillos? Steers and Lone Star?
Steers and them funny looking motorcycles...

Way to go Erik! To find a mechanic with experiance or general annoyance with autocycles, and also two vehicles not on Steve's list.

When it rains, it pours. My father called me tonight and he saw a Pulse heading up towards Sioux Falls, SD. It was red and on a trailer. Asked if he was able to get the VIN number. Said no, he was heading in the opposite direction of I-29. From now on, he will try and get any information when he sees a Pulse.

Let me know if you find a helpful shop Erick. I'm looking for someone in the DFW area with at least some experience to help with my (#211) restoration/engine change this winter. I'm in N. Richland Hills.
Thanks, Stacy

Since this guy has worked on Pulses before, he knows they are a pain to work on and to get your hands around the engine. His shop is small and the pulse won't fit through the passageway to the repair area.

However, he's been very helpful with troubleshooting my problems. Through his suggestions I found multiple problems on my Pulse. All of them related to why the engine won't stay running. There's dirt in the bowl float and other parts are gummed up. He's going to clean and tune up my carburetor, while replace the gas and check the gas line.

Hi Erik and Aviatrix:

I've moved to North Dallas and am trying to move #296 here as we speak. I'm having some towing issues as evidenced by the post. I'd love to get the repair guys name. 296 has been in storage for about 1 1/2 years and although I added the fuel stuff, I'm sure it's going to need the carbs cleaned, etc.

Please let me know.

My contract info is: Charlie Slaton, 214-363-0883 CRSlaton@yahoo.com

drop me a note.

i learned the hard way as my pulse 349 w/ 1200 honda had a shutoff up under rear cowling that i never shut off do to not knowing it was there.
after sitting for sometime in oregon gas ended up flowing into engine. due to not being run carbs got all gummed up resulting in carbs gone and needing replacement.

OK you guys, I just moved to Plano and now split my time between Fort Luaderdale and Dallas. I won #206 and it is pristine. see it on my web site at www.ncasweb.com.

So who lives in the Dallas area and do you want to start something here?

Let me know.

Hi to all you regulars, I have been a little absent ately, sorry about that.
