I found a Pulse tonight in a garage with 450 miles on it. The owner ,now in his late 70s is thinking about selling it. Was never registered and has the original CO. It has been in a heated garage since 1986. I believe it is a 1985 Pulse/Litestar ( not sure which. It has a 400 cc Yamaha engine in it.

The body/Canopy/ and interior is in great condition. the last six #s in the VIN are 000166. It is Red and all the tires are flat.

Any idea what its worth or what I should offer him? I saw these jet cars in the 80s but never have them much thought until now. You can reach me at my email address WP2505@aol.com

Wayne,

Congratulations on the "find"! I've heard people buying everything from $500 basket cases to refurbished units in the $15,000 plus range. Depending how handy you are, replacing all tires and having the engine, tank, etc. gone thru to get it working and insure safety could run easlily $1000 to $2000.

The unit I've got all apart here in Orlando, has alot of weak and rusted weld joints that I wouldn't trust under any driving conditions. Unfortunately, alot of these joints are hidden from view or covered in foam.

Good luck and have fun, if you end up picking it up!
