Does anybody have a rolling chassis without engine that might be for sale? My Daughter's school has a solar car team. They are doing a race from Dallas to Denver this summer for 18 high school teams.

The kids are building a new car and want to base it on a pulse chassis. They think they can install a large solar array onto the back half fo the car. It should make a real interesting project.

I dont think they can afford to build it from replacement parts.

Any help would be appreciated. They have a 501c3 if somebody is looking for a tax write-off!

Charlie, sounds like a fun project for your daughter and school.

Does the design team have an optimal weight for their vehilce? The Pulse is a bit on the heavy side to be powered by solar. I'd guess the frame and full body alone at 300 to 400lbs.

Has anyone every had the chance to weight one of these when it wasn't setup with a donor bike.

There is another school on this forum that was thinking of a similar Pulse-like design, but were using a light weight frame and body. Wonder if it's the same competition.
